What comes with a Icyridge Kennel puppy?
We plan to occasionally have puppies available to loving homes. Our dogs are pampered family members and their puppies will be raised with the same love and attention. Prospective owners will be carefully screened. Our kennel is bound by the code of ethics set out in the Canadian Kennel Club and in the Finnish Lapphund Club of Canada.
All puppies bred at Icyridge Kennel are Canadian Kennel Club registered, vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, and de-wormed before leaving our home. We will provide you with all the vaccination and health records, toys, puppy raising information, and a sample bag of the puppy food they are accustomed to eating. Our puppies will be raised on premium puppy food and get only the best veterinary care. Most importantly, your puppy will be very well socialized and loved before leaving our home.
We keep a waiting list, and wait time varies. Our dogs are cleared by OFA of hip dysplasia, tested for PRA and will be examined annually for the presence of hereditary eye diseases. This is a very healthy breed. All purchasers are required to sign a contract agreeing not to breed their dog unless they conform to breeding standards.
We will also want to know about you, the potential puppy owner and your family. Please refer to our Application Form. We do not export dogs outside the US and Canada. The breed population in the Canada is still too small to allow that.
